Hurricane Irene tore through the eastern seaboard. I rode out the storm in the Adirondacks. A few hours after the rain started, the power went out. We were without power until I left, and as far as I know, they are still without power now. That makes about 36 or more hours, no lights, phones, etc.

I’m in Boston now starting the second leg of the trip. On the way across I focused on making photo galleries of the local scenery and people. On the way back, I’ll be interviewing filmmakers in Boston, NYC, Chicago, Omaha, and Denver. Look for those videos to begin appearing tomorrow evening or wednesday.

I like the look of Ansel Adams, and the F64 style of photography. Ironically, the small sensor size and tiny aperture mimics a 4x5 camera fully stopped-down pretty well. I’ve shot 4x5 a bunch. Good stuff!
